Before registering an NQT please check that the post is suitable for Induction.
1. Service Level Agreement
Complete the Service Level Agreement (download below) and return to OTSA (firstname.lastname@example.org) as soon as you know you will be employing an NQT. The SLA must be submitted before we can register an NQT. Please note that an SLA must be completed each academic year. OTSA's agreement to act as the Approprate Body will be confirmed by authorisation of the registration of NQT(s) on NQT Manager. A copy of the SLA will be uploaded to NQT Manager and may be downloaded by the school/college if required.
2. NQT Manager
OTSA uses ‘NQT Manager’ – an online NQT support and induction management system. On receipt of the SLA, OTSA will create or update the school/college account. If it is a new account the headteacher will receive an email from the NQT Manager website with their username and password. Occasionally school/college email accounts move this email into the ‘junk/spam’ folder – so if you haven’t received this email please look there first, and then contact OTSA for assistance. If a school/college has previously registered with OTSA the existing account remains live with the same logon details.
3. NQT Registration
As soon as possible register each NQT with OTSA. Registration deadlines are given below.
a) Complete a Registration Form (download below) for each NQT and return to OTSA (email@example.com).
b) Register the NQT yourself directly onto the OTSA NQT Manager website. This option is only available to schools/colleges once they have an OTSA NQT Manager account.
4. Registration Deadlines
Please note the deadlines for registration below:
In the case of NQTs who begin mid-term please contact OTSA as soon as you know their first date of employment in your school/college.
Please note, we will backdate the beginning of the induction period a maximum of 10 working days before the date of formal registration with OTSA.
