The Maths Hubs programme brings together mathematics education professionals in a collaborative national network of 35 hubs, each locally led by an outstanding school or college, to develop and spreadexcellent practice, for the benefit of all pupils and students.
The Maths Hub programme is supported by the National Centre for Excellence in Teaching Mathematics and funded by the DfE, hence a large part of the offer, is provided to participating schools at no charge. You can find out more about Maths Hubs and where they are http://www.mathshubs.org.uk/
The Hubs which cover Oxfordshire are:
The Bucks, Berks and Oxon Maths Hub, which covers the areas of Oxfordshire including Bicester, Oxford, Henley and Wantage
The GLOW Hub which covers West Oxfordshire
Enigma Hub which covers Banbury.
Many schools on the border of two hubs, sign up to both and attend events and participate in workgroups which are conveniently situated and are of interest to them. All the hubs are happy with this arrangement, we just want you to get involved!
The Bucks, Berks and Oxon Maths Hub is one of 35 designated hubs and is based at Wycombe High School.

Balcarras Teaching School, Cheltenham, has been selected by the DfE to take the lead role in a new network of school-based centres, or hubs, designed to transform mathematics education for children and teenagers of all ages across the country. With the help of the strategic and operational partners, the hub aims to ‘shine a light’ on collaborative working across primary, secondary schools, and colleges in GLoucestershire, Oxfordshire and Worcestershire (hence the name ‘GLOW’) to improve the enjoyment and achievement of mathematics. Chipping Norton School, Oxford University and the OCC Primary Maths Team are Strategic Partners of GLOW.
