Apply to become a Specialist Leader of Education

There are currently just over 6,000 designated SLEs nationwide. Teaching Schools are responsible for the selection and deployment of SLEs. This is part of the government's plan to give schools a central role in developing a self-improving and sustainable school-led system.

We are particularly interested in recruiting SLEs in the core subjects of English, Mathematics and Science across all phases of education. We are also keen to designate people already working in a system leader role on behalf of OTSA, e.g. NQT Induction Leaders, CPD Programme Facilitators, SEND Reviewers and ITT Tutors.

Click here for further details about SLEs and to download the application form.

The application window for SLEs is now open, please note important dates below:

Application window opens: Friday 20th October 2017
