Will you be a new Headteacher in 2018/19?

Early Headship Programme Launch - 2nd July 2018


If you’re new in post to the role of Headteacher and/or about to start your headship in September, the OTSA and OCC would like to invite you to take part in the Early Headship Programme.

The programme begins with a free launch event on Monday 2nd July and will be be an opportunity for headteachers to meet with key colleagues from both organisations to find out more about the opportunities and support available to them during their first and second years of headship.

The Growing Future Leaders Programme is designed to help develop outstanding school leaders for the future – the next generation of headteachers, deputy headteachers and system leaders who are capable and confident in working in a very different environment to the historic models of leadership in schools.


The programme will develop leadership potential and sustain and reinforce personal ambition and professional aspiration in order to create a cohort of leaders committed to securing excellence for all in our schools.


How to apply?
Participants may be at different stages of their leadership career, but all will be recommended by their headteacher as having the potential to become a highly effective systems leader in an ever changing educational environment.
