Early Career Training Programme
The Early Career Training Programme is a programme for ECTs who began a statutory induction period from 1 September 2025. If you began induction before September 2025 onwards please refer to the Early Career Framework Programme (ECF) page.
The Initial Teacher Training and Early Career Framework (ITTECF) is the evidence base which underpins the entitlement for early career teachers’ professional development, following on from their initial teacher training experience. It sets out the curriculum of learning for all teachers new to the profession during their first three years, encompassing initial teacher training and the first two years following the award of QTS.
The ECTP forms part of the Early Career Teacher Entitlement (ECTE) and ECTs engage with the programme throughout their statutory induction period.
The Oxfordshire Teaching School Hub works in partnership with University College London to deliver the ECTP for ECTs in our partner schools.
