Undergraduate Teaching Assistant Programme
BackOTSA is working on an exciting new project for 2025/26 to support schools with recruiting teaching assistants and, in the longer term, teachers.
Our aim is to recruit a cohort of Year 13 students to complete a 3 year degree in primary or secondary education, in partnership with the University of Buckingham, beginning in June 2026, whilst working as Teaching Assistants (or similar roles) in partner schools. We will then offer them the opportunity to go on to train as teachers with the OTT SCITT. Current Teaching Assistants, without degrees, are also eligible to apply for this course.
